MadeForMums’ mission is simple: to help parents make confident choices.

And, despite our (long-established) name, we don’t just mean mums: we aim our content at – and often feature in it – dads and dads-to-be, as well as grandparents and other carers.

We publish product reviews, as well as advice and information about conception, pregnancy, parenting babies and children, and navigating school and family life.

Our reviews

Our site has more 2,000 professional in-depth reviews, and hundreds of ‘10 of the best‘ lists compiled to help you make the right product choice for your budget, your needs and your lifestyle.

You can trust our reviews because our recommendations are independent and unbiased, and we conduct proper, in-depth product tests – using expert reviewers, an army of parent testers and a dedicated fact-checking editorial team.

We take advertising and we may also earn an affiliate commission but this does not influence our editorial and product recommendations.

Our pregnancy and parenting content

All our content is evidence-based. We work with qualified health professionals and experts in the pregnancy and parenting sector.

We include study references and source links in our content, where relevant, and our health content is regularly reviewed by medical experts.

Our community

We have a big community of parents and parents-to-be, who collaborate with us to test products, help us judge our MadeForMums Awards and MadeForMums Toy Awards, and enrich our content with their pictures, their honest feedback and their real-life experiences.

Our team

We’re professional journalists (and nearly all of us are parents). We’re honest about parenting: we’re experiencing it ourselves and are here to offer support, fact-based information and guidance.

Meet the MadeForMums Team

Gemma Cartwright – Group Digital Editor

Gemma has two decades of experience in digital content, and studied journalism at the London College of Fashion. She got her break as one of the UK’s first professional bloggers and has been featured in the Guardian, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, the Independent and many more. Prior to joining MadeForMums, Gemma was Senior Editor at Popsugar UK, where she launched a number of new channels including Parenting. She is mum to a 3 year old.

Helen Brown – Head of Content Delivery

Helen is author of the classic advice book Parenting for Dummies. Before joining MadeForMums over 7 years ago, she was Head of Community at Mumsnet and also the Consumer Editor of Mother & Baby. On MadeForMums she’s established herself as a toys expert and has been a judge for the Bookstart Book Awards. Helen has 3 boys and a heavy-duty washing machine.

Christy McGhee – Head of Consumer Content

Christy is a parenting and travel journalist, having built up a writing and editing career over 20 years. From pushchairs and sterilisers to nappies and car seats, she has a passion for helping mums and dads find the right products for their family. A mum of three – her youngest was born in 2020 – Christy is never short of testers to help with her unflinching product research.

Danielle Graph – Community Manager

Dani has been MadeForMums’ Community Manager for more than 6 years, and has followed a huge number of MadeForMums users through their pregnancies to their toddler years and beyond. Dani has also worked as a TV and movie journalist, looks after our Top Testers Club, and has 2 daughters.
